The television series Ahare! Meisaku-kun is a Japanese anime that aired as a collection of short episodes from April 2016 to March 2022. The story takes place in a long-established and prestigious institution known as Ryugu Elementary School, a place famous for having produced many remarkable and masterful characters throughout its history.

The narrative centers on an otherwise ordinary boy named Meisaku Matsuda, who enrolls at this unique school. Despite his name meaning masterpiece, Meisaku is a completely average and unremarkable student, which forces him to constantly act as the straight man to the eccentric personalities he encounters. His primary goal is to survive his school life and eventually graduate as a splendid masterpiece character himself.

The setting is populated with a cast of bizarre and over-the-top characters. Sweets is the class president, an energetic and loud-mouthed idiot from a wealthy family who is oblivious to how others perceive him. Musubi is a living rice ball who serves as the series mascot and becomes furious when referred to by the more common term onigiri. Nokio is a self-proclaimed robot with a massive narcissistic streak, though he is very clearly human, as evidenced by his warm body and poor math skills. Another key figure is Bolt, a tall, muscular turtle who boasts incredible speed that outpaces even a rabbit and has a habit of saying Mannen. The series follows Meisaku as he navigates daily life at Ryugu Elementary, surrounded by these chaotic classmates, each with their own fixations and quirks.
