As NFG's kind of dead, in my opinion, I decided to try and organize an event. Looking back at the previous event we had, i realized certain things could be done better. Example, this time, everybody will be able to vote. Not just the selected people.

Hya all

A quick message concerning the Art Contest. I've given everybody enough time to decide wether they participate or not.
So, i think it's time for the ''deadline''. The last date you can participate. Upcoming Friday, 16 jan. 2009, will be the very last day to enter. Exactly 12:00 GTM+1 that day is your last chance to enter.
The prizes are rather large, so i'm disappointed for the small amount of members who signed up, but happy for those few as well.
the less members that participate, the larger the odds they win.

For me, as it's still the 15th here, the deadline will be tomorrow. I'll try to add a poll here, if that's possible. I haven't had the time to check, since i just signed up. Apparently i misspelled my E-mail using the name Aeandir, thus making that name unusable for me.

I was going to ask the same thing... I entered something just for the sake of it, and wondering if this thing is actually going to happen...

I made mine on paint which is actually really hard lol...I can't put a picture on my computer that I drew.

But yes contest should be over now right?

Apparently it did finish, yet I have seen no poll, nor any of the entries. Maybe I just assumed this was a public voting and not a private one...

Well, Aeandir did not make this clear, however, I requested, that they get 2 or 3 judges to decide rather then a poll. This is because it turns a art contest into a popularity contest.

However I'm not 100% sure how the winners were chosen.

Actually everyone did get to vote who was able to....its just that shadow banned almost everyone at least once,meaning we are convicted felons and aren't able to vote.

Reading this thread, I'm amazed by the fact that Novafire was allowed to sent another piece of work in... because his previous one was plagiarism...

I never explained where those results came from, did i?
I simply asked three friends of my mom to vote on their top five. the reason why i wanted them to vote instead of making a poll is that they had absolutely no experience with Art. They don't know how it's made, thus they only look at the TOTAL PICTURE. they look at how it looks. If you let a GFX designer vote, he'll probably give more points for the picture you worked hours on. Even if it looks worser then one you worked five seconds on.

Also, if i made a poll, then it'd become a popularity contest.

About the money, SH still hasn't got their disappearing money back. Also still no response from Neo, who's the only admin alive if i recall it correctly. For now they'll have to live with the fact that they're on the news.
