Description
Dai Shiro, often referred to as the Great Boss, serves as the supreme leader of the Neo Shocker organization. This version of the character claims to be an alien entity from a Dark Nebula, styling himself as the Emperor of the Dark Nebula. His true form is that of a giant dragon, a terrifying manifestation that he keeps hidden from all but his most trusted inner circle within Neo Shocker's Japanese headquarters.
In terms of personality, the Great Boss demands absolute loyalty, worship, and even human sacrifices from his followers. He cultivates an aura of divine mystery and terror, ruling from the shadows while lower-ranking members, like General Monster, believe Neo Shocker is fighting to purge excessive human populations to prepare a better world for a chosen elite. In reality, his motivations are far more sinister and alien. He has prepared Neo Shocker as an advance attack force for a full-scale invasion and conquest of Earth, with the ultimate goal of rendering the planet uninhabitable by destroying all of its oxygen, a plan that would only spare those Neo Shocker members who have taken special measures to guarantee their survival.
Within the narrative, Dai Shiro initially oversees the operations of his subordinates from a distance, closely monitoring General Monster's activities. He adopts a more passive approach after Admiral Majin takes over the Japanese branch, allowing the admiral to lead the repeated failed attempts to defeat Kamen Rider. However, after Admiral Majin's continuous failures and the arrival of other Kamen Riders, the Great Boss takes a more direct and active role. He kills Admiral Majin for his incompetence and assumes direct control of operations to execute his final, apocalyptic plan.
His key relationships are defined by his role as a ruthless master. He views his subordinates, such as General Monster and Admiral Majin, as expendable tools. His only significant connection is to the heroes, as his plans directly lead to a climactic confrontation with all the previous Kamen Riders. The character shows little to no personal development, remaining a static embodiment of pure, alien evil whose primary change is moving from a passive observer to an active participant in the conflict.
The Great Boss possesses notable abilities befitting an alien emperor. His most formidable power is his resilience and his doomsday weapon: an oxygen bomb capable of destroying all the air on Earth. In his dragon form, he is a powerful physical threat. Ultimately, his defeat comes not through conventional combat, but when the combined efforts of all previous Kamen Riders manage to carry him and his oxygen bomb into space, where they all seemingly sacrifice themselves in the resulting explosion to save the planet.
