Description
Goushima, also known as Cyborg Soldier Level 2, serves as the secondary antagonist in the film Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue. He is the right-hand man and most trusted confidant of Iwao Himuro, a key figure within the Institute of Super Science, or ISS, a biotechnology laboratory that develops enhanced soldiers.

The character is a representation of a specific tier of the Institute's human modification program. As a Level 2 cyborg, his body has been heavily augmented with numerous mechanical devices. This model is characterized by its high maximum output and defensive capabilities, which are superior to a Level 3 cyborg in raw power. However, this power comes with significant drawbacks. A Level 2 unit like Goushima cannot return to a human form and can only assume a human shape through the application of artificial skin over his mechanical body. Furthermore, as a mechanical renovation, he lacks the potential to grow or increase his battle experience through combat, and he requires regular refurbishment to maintain or strengthen his skills.

Goushima’s primary function is that of an enforcer. His motivations are not explored on a personal level; instead, he operates as a loyal agent of the ISS, dispatched to eliminate the rogue test subject Shin Kazamatsuri, the film's protagonist. His role in the story is to act as a physical obstacle, a powerful and relentless adversary sent to destroy Shin. The most significant relationship is his direct service to Iwao Himuro, for whom he executes orders without question.

His defining physical attribute is his right arm, which is not a hand but a large, bladed weapon. Described as a scissor or bladed claw, this weapon is strong enough to tear through concrete with ease. Despite his designation and physical might, Goushima is ultimately outmatched by Shin, a superior bio-cyborg whose cellular-level modification allows for self-evolution. In their final confrontation, Goushima is decapitated by Shin. As a final, self-destruct mechanism, his severed head opens to reveal a bomb, which immediately detonates.

Following his death in the original film, the character appears in later crossover productions, resurrected by the villain Shadow Moon alongside other monsters. In these appearances, he is once again defeated, this time by Kamen Riders ZO and J. In an alternate timeline depicted in a later film, he is shown as a member of a revived Shocker organization, once again coming into conflict with Shin.
