Description
Dokugander, also known as Poison Moth, is a kaijin from the original 1971 Kamen Rider television series, where it serves as a monster created by the secret organization Shocker. This creature is notable for having two distinct forms: a larval stage and a mature adult stage, each appearing in different episodes of the series.

In its initial larval form, Dokugander was created by Shocker through a process that merged a moth with a human being. This creature stands approximately 230 centimeters tall and weighs 120 kilograms. The larval Dokugander has a striking appearance dominated by yellow, blue, and green colors, with green hair covering its back. Its primary mission was to guard a secret Shocker base hidden in the mountains near Fuji, relentlessly attacking any humans who ventured too close to the facility. In terms of personality and behavior, this form is aggressive and territorial, focused entirely on protecting the base from intruders. The larval Dokugander demonstrates a cunning nature, at one point capturing allies of Kamen Rider 2, including Tachibana, and using them as hostages to manipulate and threaten the hero. However, its combat abilities are somewhat limited, and it is notably weaker than Kamen Rider 2 in hand-to-hand fighting, with a specific vulnerability to fire. The creature's primary weapon is a flammable liquid it spews from its mouth. In its final battle, Dokugander is defeated by Kamen Rider 2's Rider Kick, falling into a river and transforming into an egg that is carried away by the current, only to later reappear.

The adult, or imago, form of Dokugander represents its evolution and return. This version adopts a predominantly white and blue color scheme and grows large yellow wings that grant it the ability to fly. Its motivations in this stage shift from simple base defense to a larger ambition: mass-producing more of its kind. Disguising itself as a professor, Dokugander kidnaps another scientist and his daughter, attempting to coerce the development of a growth accelerator that would rapidly mature its eggs into adult monsters. As an adult, the creature's abilities expand to include firing projectiles or cannon shells from its hands and utilizing its flight for aerial attacks, generally avoiding direct ground combat. Its flight speed, however, is slower than that of Kamen Rider 2, creating a tactical weakness. The character's development from a static defender to a proactive, strategic threat demonstrates a growing ambition, yet this plan ultimately fails when the coerced scientist sabotages the formula, creating a dissolving agent instead of a growth accelerator. The adult Dokugander meets its end in a final confrontation at Osaka Castle, where Kamen Rider 2 once again uses the Rider Kick, striking the monster down and causing it to crash into a building and explode. The character reappears in the film Kamen Rider vs. Shocker as a member of a regenerated monster corps, indicating Shocker's ability to revive and redeploy its defeated creations.
