Description
Abugomesu is a monster character from the original Kamen Rider series, appearing as a member of the evil organization Shocker. Designed with the characteristics of a horsefly, this creature originates from the Mexico branch of Shocker and arrives in Japan to participate in a plan to create a device known as the Radio Wave Jamming Apparatus, which would manipulate the nation's communication networks to suit Shocker's purposes.

In terms of appearance and abilities, Abugomesu stands approximately 1.92 meters tall and weighs 99 kilograms. Its most notable features include a poisonous needle located within its mouth, which it uses to inject lethal venom into victims. Reports indicate that this poison is potent enough to kill a cow with a single sting. Additionally, the creature can fire bullets from both of its hands, providing it with a ranged offensive capability. It also possesses the ability to transform or disguise itself as a mysterious human male to move undetected in society.

The primary motivation driving Abugomesu is the successful completion of its mission to kidnap Dr. Kihara, a prominent expert in electronic engineering. The creature requires the doctor's expertise to develop the jamming device. Upon arriving in Japan, Abugomesu immediately attacks and kills an FBI agent named George who had been following it. It then attempts to assault a young girl named Cathy who witnesses the scene, but this attack is interrupted by two individuals who would become its greatest obstacle.

The creature's role in the story is that of an adversary dispatched by Shocker to advance the organization's technological ambitions. Its key relationships are defined by its allegiance to Shocker and its direct opposition to Kamen Rider 1, Takeshi Hongo. After the initial confrontation is thwarted, Abugomesu later manages to kidnap Dr. Kihara, though the doctor has been replaced by a decoy. A battle ensues inside a ropeway car, where Abugomesu knocks its opponent from the vehicle. However, when the creature attempts to execute members of the Tachikawa Racing Club as hostages in front of the real Dr. Kihara, Kamen Rider 1 intervenes directly. In the final confrontation, Abugomesu is defeated by the Rider Knee Block technique, which strikes its abdomen and causes the monster to explode.

Regarding personality, the available information portrays Abugomesu as a ruthless and calculating operative, willing to kill innocent bystanders and use hostages to achieve its goals. Its development remains limited to a single episode appearance, serving as a classic example of a monster of the week format without significant personal evolution across the series. The creature's notable abilities, as detailed, center on its venomous mouth needle, its hand-fired projectiles, and its human disguise capability, all of which make it a formidable physical threat to both ordinary humans and the transformed hero.
