Description
Bararanga is a monster character from the original 1971 Kamen Rider television series. This creature is a modified humanoid who possesses the characteristics of a rose plant.

As a member of the evil organization Shocker, Bararanga is assigned to eliminate Takeshi Hongo, the hero Kamen Rider, as well as the young members of the Kamen Rider Squad. To accomplish this mission, Bararanga demonstrates a cunning and deceptive personality. He utilizes a mansion surrounded by roses as his hideout, where he takes on the appearance of a beautiful and hospitable woman to lure his victims into a trap. This disguise allows him to ambush Taki, a key ally of Kamen Rider, and several children from the Kamen Rider Squad.

Bararanga possesses several notable abilities derived from his rose-based biology. He can produce and throw rose-shaped shuriken from his body, which are his primary weapons. The petals of these shuriken are laced with a type of narcotic drug; the scent alone is enough to cause a person to lose consciousness. More insidiously, if a shuriken is stuck into a person, Bararanga can manipulate that individual's will, turning them into a puppet under his control. He successfully uses this ability on the ally Taki, turning him into an unwitting agent sent to assassinate Kamen Rider at the Kamen Rider Squad headquarters.

Bararanga's role in the story is as the primary antagonist of episode 75. His plan is ultimately thwarted when Kamen Rider analyzes the rose component used to control Taki, allowing him to help Taki regain his senses. Taki then pretends to still be controlled and leads Bararanga into a confrontation with Kamen Rider. In the ensuing battle, Bararanga fights fiercely but is defeated by Kamen Rider's Rider Screw Block technique, which sends him crashing into a tree. Upon his destruction, the monster withers and transforms into a single rose, signifying his end.
