Description
Haruka "Tiger" Kamijō, elder sister to Lucidien "Luke" Kallister, mastered martial arts early as a prodigy. She consistently defeated Luke in childhood competitions, driving him toward unconventional training without surpassing her. In youth, she bonded closely with Asana Mutsuba through daily activities and duels. Their friendship fractured during a snowstorm search for Luke; after splitting up, Tiger found Luke but not Asana, interpreting this as abandonment. This incident bred lasting rivalry.
Tiger identified controlled breathing as fundamental to martial arts, leading her to study wind instruments. During a thunderstorm, she discovered a metallic object embedded in a mountainside. Blowing into it revealed a bassoon, which she deemed fate. This prompted her to join and lead Goha 7th Elementary’s Concert Band Club. Competitive and short-tempered—especially toward Luke, whose intellect she criticizes—she demands the nickname "Tiger" and explodes at familial terms like "big sister." Yet she cares deeply, moved when observing Luke’s joy during Rush Duels with Yuga Ohdo. She exhibits integrity, defending Yuga’s Road Laboratory from underhanded tactics and condemning dishonor. Reconciliation with Asana followed a duel where Asana explained their past misunderstanding and apologized sincerely.
Physically tall with teal hair featuring lilac-dyed tips, purple eyes, and fair skin, Tiger’s primary outfit includes a pale yellow ruffled-collar blouse, khaki corset belt, long emerald skirt with a left-side slit, dark stockings, and khaki lace-up heeled boots with black toe caps. She wears a tasseled necklace with a red stone and carries a large silver bassoon. Alternate attire includes a red Chinese-style gi with yellow trim and black accents, and a childhood white martial arts uniform with a black belt. Post-timeskip, she has shorter hair with lilac tips and wears the Goha #8 Middle School uniform.
As a duelist, Tiger uses a WIND Warrior deck themed around martial arts and wind instruments, known as Music Princess or Music Maidens. Her strategy prioritizes aggressive plays and precise card manipulation to summon high-level monsters like "Ensembullfighter the Music Fiend," often sacrificing defense. Key cards include "Breath of the Music Maidens" and "Music Maiden Secret Technique - Triple Tiger." Her record includes victories against Luke (flashbacks), Caterpillio Zomyoji, Yuga Ohdo (episode 76), and an off-screen win with allies against Goha 66. Losses occurred against Yuga (initial duel), Asana (flashback), and Luke (episode 64). She also fought in a tag duel with Asana against Goha 66.
Her relationship with Luke mixes contention with familial loyalty. His "Lukeman" betrayal of family honor drove her exhaustive training to stop him. With Asana, bitter rivalry reverted to friendship after resolution. She respects Yuga Ohdo’s clear ideals post-duel, acknowledging his potential. She also dueled Caterpillio Elephantis, correcting his use of her nickname.
