Description
Roa Kirishima, occasionally localized as Roa Kassidy, stands as a pivotal figure with a complex personality and profound narrative influence. His background includes early immersion in dueling culture, attending the 666th Goha Dueling Tournament where Otes's speech about forging new paths ignited Roa's ambition to become "Duel King." Jealousy festered when Otes entrusted "Sevens Road Magician" to Yuga Ohdo, driving Roa to reshape dueling through his independent band, RoaRomin, co-founded with his cousin Romin Kirishima.

Roa possesses fair skin, spiky lime-green hair styled in a distinctive "T" shape over his forehead, and sharp purple eyes. His attire typically features a red t-shirt with light-purple crossed swords, black pants accented by purple ribbons around the shins, and purple wristbands. As a youth, he wore a black-and-white baseball tee and blue jeans.

Initially projecting an altruistic, optimistic persona for fans, Roa's true nature is arrogant, opportunistic, and manipulative. He rebranded Rush Duels as "RoaRush Duel" and employed ruthless tactics: coercing Romin to spy on Yuga’s group for intel, exploiting Ushiro Omaeno to target Luke Kallister’s superstitions, and starving Romin to trigger her berserk duel state. Despite these methods, Roa displays authentic dueling prowess when fully engaged, strategically leveraging traps like the disqualification threat tied to "Sevens Road Magician."

His "Royal Demon's" Deck embodies his self-styled "Duel King" image, exploiting Rush Duel rules to deplete opponents’ decks via forced discards and excessive draws. Core cards include high-level synergistic monsters and spells/traps like "King’s Tax," "King’s Authority," and "Royal Demon’s Heaven & Hell," deployed to accelerate Yuga’s draw into disqualification.

Roa’s duel record evolves dynamically: early losses to Yuga Ohdo (Episodes 12–13) and Luke Kallister (Episode 63) contrast with victories over Getta Taira (Episode 18), Mimi Imimi (Episode 44), Yuka Goha (Episode 61), and Asana Mutsuba (Episode 75). He later triumphed against Yuga in a rematch (Episodes 84–85), culminating in a team-based tally of 2 wins and 1 loss.

Character development shifts Roa from antagonist to reluctant ally. After initial rivalries, he aids Yuga during critical arcs like the Team Battle Royal, supplying a Maximum Monster card to bolster Yuga’s strategies. Though his "Duel King" title and Jack Atlas-esque arrogance endure, his role transitions into a competitive yet cooperative dynamic with Yuga’s circle.
