Description
Shiraishi is a supporting character from the anime Initial D, specifically a classmate of Natsuki Mogi. She is a high school girl who wears glasses and ties her black hair into pigtails. Her background is tied to her father, an older businessman who drives a white Mercedes-Benz. This man is the same individual with whom Natsuki has been engaging in compensated dating, referred to as enjō kōsai. Shiraishi becomes aware of this arrangement because the man is her own father, giving her a direct, personal connection to the secret.

In terms of personality, Shiraishi is motivated by jealousy and resentment. She harbors a crush on Takumi Fujiwara, the protagonist, and becomes envious of the growing romantic relationship between Takumi and Natsuki. At the same time, she feels neglected by her father, who devotes attention and money to Natsuki instead of his own family. These twin feelings of romantic jealousy and familial bitterness drive her to act against Natsuki. Her primary motivation is to expose Natsuki's secret life in order to drive a wedge between Takumi and Natsuki, and also to take revenge on her father for his neglect.

Her role in the story is to act as the catalyst that reveals Natsuki's secret to Takumi. She writes an anonymous note detailing Natsuki's compensated dating and places it in Takumi's shoe locker at school. This revelation causes significant conflict and emotional turmoil in Takumi and Natsuki's relationship, leading to a temporary breakup and forcing Natsuki to confront her past. Although Shiraishi does not appear on screen in the anime itself—the note plot point is retained without showing the character—her actions have a direct impact on the emotional core of the early story arc. In the manga and supplementary materials, she is explicitly named and characterized.

Her key relationship is with Natsuki, whom she betrays due to jealousy rather than genuine malice. She also has a strained relationship with her father, the Mercedes driver, which she resents. With Takumi, her feelings are unrequited, and she never directly interacts with him beyond planting the note.

Shiraishi does not undergo any visible character development or redemption arc within the series. She appears only as a one-time plot device whose actions set events in motion. She exhibits no notable abilities beyond the mundane act of writing and planting the note. Her role is limited to that of an antagonist in the love triangle subplot, and she remains a minor, off-screen figure in the anime adaptation.
