Description
Eri Yoshiyama is a minor character in Battle Royale II: Requiem. She is a local girl whose past is marked by a tragic event that continues to haunt her. When she was younger, Eri was a confident honor student but also a bully. She is deeply troubled by the memory that the girl she used to bully later committed suicide. This past experience shapes her perspective, particularly in her friendship with another student, Hibiki Yano, who acts a lot like the girl Eri had previously tormented.

Eri's role in the story is extremely brief, as her participation in the program ends almost as soon as it begins. During the first mission known as Landing, the Wild Seven group opens fire on the transport boats carrying the students. A rocket fired by one of the members directly hits the boat where Eri is located. The resulting explosion kills Eri instantly along with all other passengers on board. Because of her very early death, the narrative does not provide an opportunity for Eri to demonstrate any notable abilities, form significant relationships beyond the pre-existing one with Hibiki, or undergo any character development. Her story is defined entirely by her guilt-ridden background and her abrupt demise in the initial moments of the conflict.
