Description
Leo, also known as Kamen Rider 315 Psyga, is a secondary antagonist from the film Gekijōban Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Lost. He is an Orphnoch of the highest class and serves as the personal bodyguard and enforcer for Smart Brain president Kyoji Murakami. A taciturn and loyal soldier, Leo communicates almost exclusively in English, with the only Japanese word he uses being henshin when transforming. His steadfast loyalty to Smart Brain is symbolized by the company’s logo tattooed on his nape.
Leo’s personality is cold, professional, and slightly sadistic. He treats combat as a game, often taunting his opponents with phrases such as “Let the game begin” before engaging. He shows no mercy toward those who defy Smart Brain, whether they are rebellious Orphnochs or human resistance fighters. His primary motivation is to carry out Murakami’s orders without question, viewing his role as a means to maintain the organization’s dominance.
In the story, Leo is the user of the Psyga Driver, one of the three Emperor Belts, specifically the Heaven Belt. He transforms into Kamen Rider Psyga by entering the code 315. As Psyga, he spearheads attacks on the Human Liberation Army, effortlessly defeating the Human Liberation Army’s champion, Kamen Rider Kaixa (Masato Kusaka), and later abducting Mari Yurikawa (Sonoda Mari) to lure out the missing Faiz. He fights alongside Riotrooper squads and serves as a direct obstacle for the protagonist, Takumi Inui. His role is that of an unstoppable enforcer until his final confrontation with Faiz.
Key relationships include his master Murakami, whom he serves without hesitation, and his antagonism toward Takumi Inui and the resistance. He also clashes with the Orphnoch trio of Yuji Kiba, Yuka Nagata, and Naoya Kaido, though he treats them as enemies rather than allies. Leo has little personal development; he remains a loyal and unchanging instrument of Smart Brain until his defeat. He does not reveal an Orphnoch form in the film, though supplementary material suggests he is a Lion Orphnoch.
Leo’s notable abilities stem from the Psyga Gear. His flying backpack, the Flying Attacker, allows him to reach speeds of 820 km/h and an altitude of 5,000 meters, granting him aerial superiority. He can use the Flying Attacker in two modes: a Booster Rifle for ranged attacks and a Tonfa Edge for melee combat. His suite generates a high volume of blue Photon Blood, granting him enhanced strength, durability, and speed. He is capable of performing powerful kick techniques such as the Cobalt Smash and the Sky Impact, though he primarily relies on aerial grapples and his tonfa in the film. He easily overpowers Kamen Rider Kaixa and fights evenly against multiple Orphnochs at once. Only Kamen Rider Faiz, with the aid of the Accel Form and the Sparkle Cut finisher, manages to defeat him. Leo dies in battle, turning to ash without reverting to human form.
