Description
Takumi Inui, the protagonist of the film, is the human identity of both Kamen Rider Faiz and the Wolf Orphnoch. His journey in this alternate timeline begins after a catastrophic defeat, where he is presumed dead following an ambush by Smart Brain's Riotrooper forces. In truth, Takumi survived the attack but was left with severe injuries and amnesia. He was rescued by a former scientist of the Smart Brain corporation and subsequently lived under the new identity of Takeshi, a cobbler in a human refugee camp known as Paradise, having been given false memories to fill the void left by his amnesia. Takumi's fundamental nature is defined by a profound internal conflict; he is a natural Orphnoch who was resurrected as the Wolf Orphnoch following a fatal automobile accident in his childhood. Throughout the story, he displays a cynical and standoffish personality, often preferring isolation, which stems from a deep-seated fear of his own potential for destruction and a reluctance to form close bonds with others. Despite this exterior, his core motivation is a desire to protect others. His famous personal creed reflects this, as he states he does not have dreams himself but has the power to protect the dreams of others.

In Paradise Lost, Takumi's role is that of a reluctant savior. He exists as a legend among the surviving human resistance, who believe that the return of Faiz will bring peace. Initially unaware of his true identity due to amnesia, he regains his memories during a masquerade ball when a Riotrooper attack triggers his past as a fighter. Upon reclaiming the Faiz Gear and his past, he becomes the central figure in the final confrontation against Smart Brain, aiming to rescue his friend Mari Sonoda from public execution by the monstrous Elasmotherium Orphnoch. His key relationships anchor his character. Mari Sonoda is his closest ally and a symbol of his commitment to humanity; she never lost faith in him and maintained the legend of Faiz. Mina, the daughter of the scientist who saved him, represents a brief, peaceful life he could have had and ultimately sacrifices herself to protect him and return his powerful Faiz Blaster to him. Yuji Kiba, an Orphnoch seeking coexistence with humans, is a tragic foil; he is a friend and an ally who later becomes a rival as Kamen Rider Orga, culminating in a final battle where Kiba sacrifices himself to save Mari and asks Takumi to fulfill his dream of peace.

The character’s development in the film is marked by a physical and emotional resurrection. He transforms from a simple, memory-less cobbler named Takeshi into a decisive hero who accepts his dual nature. A pivotal moment of development occurs when he is forced to reveal his true form as the Wolf Orphnoch to the world during his final battle with Kiba, a shocking revelation that underscores his unique position as both humanity's champion and the very thing they fear. Takumi’s abilities are considerable. As Kamen Rider Faiz, he utilizes the Faiz Gear and its various forms, including the high-speed Axel Form and the powerful Blaster Form, which he uses to destroy the Elasmotherium Orphnoch. His inherent abilities as the Wolf Orphnoch grant him superhuman attributes. In the film, he manifests a unique version of this form known as the Gallop Mode. This form is characterized by digitigrade, wolf-like legs that grant dramatically enhanced speed and agility, allowing him to run 100 meters in just 1.2 seconds. The Wolf Orphnoch form stands at 209 centimeters tall and possesses sharp, blade-like protrusions all over its body, as well as powerful leg strength that enables high leaps and a maximum running speed of 300 kilometers per hour. Despite Orphnochs typically having a shortened lifespan due to their accelerated evolution, Takumi retains his complete human consciousness, allowing him to shift between his human and monster forms at will.
