The Orphanage Nun is a minor character in the 1974 live-action film Lupin III: Strange Psycho-Kinetic Strategy. She is a nun attached to a Japanese orphanage where Lupin III was raised as a child after the destruction of the Lupin Empire, the worldwide criminal organization founded by his grandfather and later crushed by the rival Maccherone family. In the film's account, Lupin and the gunslinger Daisuke Jigen were the only known survivors of that organization, and the young Lupin spent his childhood in the orphanage while Jigen searched for a surviving descendant of the Lupin line.

Her role in the story is brief but important for establishing Lupin's origins. When Jigen traces the Lupin family to the orphanage, the nun tells him that Lupin slipped away from the institution years earlier and has since been missing. That information ends the search at the orphanage and pushes Jigen into the city, where he soon runs into Lupin by chance. The nun thus acts as the link between Lupin's hidden childhood and the events of the main story, and she is one of the few characters connected to his life before he became a thief.

The film does not develop her personality in any detail. Her appearance is limited to a single exchange with Jigen, in which she fulfills the ordinary caretaking duty of answering a visitor's question about a former resident. Her motivation is no more than that of a nun responding to an inquiry, and she has no stated personal goals, no arc, and no further presence in the narrative. Her key relationship is with Lupin, whom she knew as a boy at the orphanage; no other connections are established. She displays no combat ability, specialized knowledge, or other notable skills, and her significance lies entirely in the background information she provides about the protagonist's early years.
