Captain Bowman instructed knife combat for ARCAM's elite Spriggan operatives, personally training Yu Ominae in blade techniques. He defected from ARCAM to join rival Trident Corporation. Under Trident's command, Larry Markson deployed Bowman to Phantom Island to eliminate Yu Ominae and secure the ancient Message Plate artifact. During the mission, Bowman engaged Yu in direct knife combat. He sustained critical injuries in the confrontation and died from these wounds.
