Description
Mikado is the emperor of Yamato, ruling as a figure of immense authority and mystery. In private he uses the name Mito, and he is later revealed to be the biological older brother of the protagonist Haku. Originally a human scientist, Mikado survived a catastrophic attack and prolonged his life through experimental self-modification, which left him confined to a wheelchair and appearing as an elderly man.
His personality is marked by a sharp duality. On one hand, he genuinely cares for those close to him, particularly his immediate family and trusted associates, and he often approaches political matters with a preference for peaceful negotiation before resorting to military force.
