Chikurun is a fairy character who appears from episode thirty-four onward in the anime. He is a small, childlike fairy whose design is modeled after a bee, featuring a yellow hat, yellow and brown striped short overalls, antennae on his head, and a pair of wings on his back. His face is highly expressive, and he is frequently seen enjoying honey or other sweet things, which he loves above all else.

Chikurun originally came from the Fairy Village, a hidden location in the Magic World. His troubles began when he was caught shirking his duties of gathering honey for the village's Queen. Fearing a harsh punishment, he made a deal with Orba, an antagonist, to keep his secret. This forced Chikurun to become Orba's subordinate, leaving his home to work as a spy. Although Orba refers to him as a friend, he treats Chikurun more as a tool to be used.

In terms of personality, Chikurun is lively and energetic, but he also has a negative and somewhat immature side. He can be cowardly, easily frightened by those stronger than him, and often complains or grumbles about Orba behind his back. Despite these tendencies, he is fundamentally kind-hearted and friendly, which makes it easy for him to grow close to others. His deep love for sweet foods is a major weakness, as it can easily distract him from his tasks. He also is not very good at being sneaky; he slips up when lying and tends to speak casually with anyone he befriends, a trait that paradoxically makes him effective at getting people to trust him.

Chikurun's primary role in the story begins as a spy for Orba, tasked with discovering the secret behind the Precure's power. While observing the heroines, he correctly deduces that the talking teddy bear Mofurun is the key. To get closer to his target, he attempts to infiltrate the group. His cover story is blown when he is caught stealing pancakes with honey from Mirai Asahina's house, but the girls accept his apology and he becomes a familiar presence in their lives, all while secretly reporting to Orba. As he spends time with Mirai, Riko, Ha-chan, and especially Mofurun, he develops genuine affection for them, leading to a deep internal conflict between his mission and his new friendships.

This conflict comes to a head when the powerful enemy Shakince threatens to destroy the Precure. In a misguided attempt to protect them, Chikurun steals the Linkle Stones from the girls and gives them to Shakince. However, Shakince betrays the agreement and attacks the powerless Cures. Realizing his mistake, Chikurun bravely retrieves the stolen items from inside Shakince's body. After the battle, he confesses everything to the girls, who forgive him. He returns to the Fairy Village to face the Queen, who is just happy to see him and gives him a mild punishment. When Orba later attacks his home, Chikurun finds the courage to stand up and defend his friends and the Fairy Village, showing how much he has grown. In the end, he decides to stay in his village but remains a close ally to the Precure.

Regarding his abilities, Chikurun does not possess powerful combat magic. His main strengths are his small size and wings, which allow him to avoid detection and enter places easily. He is also very observant, a skill that lets him notice important details that others might overlook, such as Mofurun's central role. While he is not a strong fighter, he demonstrates considerable cleverness and bravery when taking action to correct his mistakes, such as when he ventures into a monster's body to retrieve stolen items.
