Description
Kozo Fuyutsuki, commonly addressed as Professor Fuyutsuki due to his academic past, is the Deputy Commander of NERV and the closest working partner of Commander Gendo Ikari. Before the catastrophic event known as Second Impact, he was a professor of metaphysical biology at Kyoto University, where he taught and mentored the brilliant bioengineering student Yui Ikari. He developed quiet personal feelings for Yui, which he never expressed openly, and it was through her that he first encountered Gendo Rokubungi, the man who would later change his name to Gendo Ikari and marry Yui.
