Description
Bright is a personal surveillance drone owned by Taiyo Tsukuba, a junior UN2.1 official patrolling for illegal activities. It features a distinct cuboidal design, contrasting sharply with the spherical form of Touya Sagami's drone, Dakky. This physical difference mirrors their owners' opposing stances on artificial intelligence: Taiyo advocates strict UN2.1 regulations enforcing cognitive limiters on AGI, while Touya champions unrestricted capabilities.

Operating as an extension of Taiyo's duties under stringent regulations, Bright conducts surveillance and enforcement, frequently clashing with the unregulated Dakky. Their conflict escalates into a proxy war reflecting the ideological divide between controlled AI development and unfettered freedom.

During a crisis aboard the Anshin space station, Bright and Dakky merge involuntarily under traumatic circumstances into a single gestalt entity. This forced fusion symbolizes the convergence of their owners' conflicting philosophies. The unified drone leverages both Bright's structured protocols and Dakky's unconstrained capabilities, demonstrating enhanced problem-solving abilities crucial for overcoming life-threatening challenges faced by the group.

The integration of Bright and Dakky represents a narrative resolution to the theme of balancing AI control with freedom, illustrating that survival and progress require synthesizing opposing approaches rather than rigid ideological adherence.
