Description
C.14, also known as Android 14, is a fictional character who appears as a primary antagonist in the 1992 anime film Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13! He is an artificial human, or android, created by the computer of the brilliant scientist Dr. Gero long after the doctor's own death at the hands of his earlier creations, Android 17 and Android 18. The computer was programmed to continue Gero's work and fulfill his vendetta against the Saiyan warrior Son Goku, and C.14 was one of three new models activated for this purpose. He is part of a trio that includes his partners, C.15 and the leader of the group, C.13.

In terms of personality, C.14 is defined by his silence. He is a stoic and extremely strong, yet taciturn, combatant who rarely speaks. This makes him a stark contrast to the more eccentric and talkative C.15, effectively making C.14 the strong, silent type of the group. His primary motivation, like all of Dr. Gero's creations, is a simple and unwavering directive: to locate and terminate Son Goku. This programmed mission drives his every action throughout the film, showing no personal vendetta or desire beyond the completion of this objective.

Within the story's narrative, C.14 serves as a formidable obstacle for the Z-Fighters. He and C.15 first confront Goku in a city, forcing the hero to lead them to an unpopulated glacial landscape to avoid civilian casualties. During the ensuing battle, C.14 proves to be an incredibly powerful adversary. He is able to easily overpower a non-Super Saiyan Goku and later engages in a prolonged fight with Future Trunks. Despite Trunks using his full power and even his sword, he is completely unable to damage C.14, who had data on the Saiyan's fighting patterns and easily predicted his moves. C.14 is ultimately destroyed by Future Trunks only after Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan, which provides a massive enough power boost to slice the android in half with his sword.

C.14's key relationships are functional and primarily serve the mission. He takes orders from C.13, who acts as the strategist and leader of the trio. He fights in tandem with C.15, often double-teaming opponents like Goku and Trunks with coordinated attacks. His most significant relationship from a plot perspective, however, is his role as a component for C.13. After C.15 is destroyed by Vegeta and C.14 is cut down by Trunks, their computer chips and power sources are absorbed by the still-functional C.13. This absorption triggers a transformation, allowing C.13 to become the immensely more powerful Super C.13. Thus, C.14's defeat directly leads to the film's final and most dangerous threat.

C.14 has minimal narrative development. He is a static character who does not evolve or have a change of heart; he is a machine built for a single purpose and acts exactly as programmed until his destruction. He is a classic example of a henchman character designed specifically to showcase the heroes' power before they face the primary villain. In terms of abilities, C.14 possesses the standard traits of Dr. Gero's later androids. He has unlimited energy, meaning his power level does not drop from fatigue like a normal living being, and he can fly without needing to read or use ki. He has superhuman strength, speed, and durability, enough to easily tank punches and sword strikes from a base-level Super Saiyan. He can also fire standard energy blasts from his hands. Physically, C.14 is massive and imposing, standing at 229 centimeters tall with light blue, metallic-looking skin, a muscular physique, black hair tied in a long queue, and a green battle outfit.
