Description
C.15, also known as Android 15, is a fictional character from the Dragon Ball Z film Super Android 13!. The character was created by the supercomputer of the villainous Dr. Gero, who was activated after the doctor's death at the hands of Androids 17 and 18. This computer finished Dr. Gero's work with the sole programmed directive of killing the martial artist Son Goku. C.15 was completed and activated alongside his counterpart, Android 14, and both serve as the primary subordinates to their more powerful brother unit, Android 13.
Physically, C.15 is very short in stature with purple or dark-colored skin. He is easily recognizable by his fashion, which includes a large green hat with a red ball on top, a black and white tuxedo shirt, a dark yellow and blue overcoat, and a red bow tie emblazoned with the logo of the Red Ribbon Army, the organization Dr. Gero once served. He is also frequently seen drinking from a flask, indicating a fondness for alcohol. In terms of personality, C.15 is generally silent and communicates very little. He is primarily focused on his mission, only uttering simple phrases such as the name of his target, "Son Goku," or the name of an opponent he is fighting, such as "Trunks". As a creation built for combat, he is loyal to his programming and follows the orders of Android 13.
The primary motivation for C.15 is a simple one: he is a machine designed for a single purpose. He does not possess personal vendettas or complex desires but is driven by his core programming to locate and terminate Son Goku. He and Android 14 begin their mission by attacking a city shopping mall where Goku and his family are present. During the ensuing fight, the combatants move to an isolated arctic region to prevent further civilian casualties. In this frozen landscape, C.15 engages in battle with the heroes Future Trunks and Vegeta. While he initially holds his own, he is ultimately overpowered and destroyed by Vegeta after the Saiyan prince transforms into a Super Saiyan. Vegeta decapitates C.15 with a powerful punch, causing his circuits to overload and his body to explode. However, his destruction serves a final purpose for Dr. Gero's computer, as Android 13 stops to absorb both C.15's and Android 14's computer chips and power cells, using their components to transform into a far more powerful being known as Super Android 13.
C.15's key relationships are solely with his fellow androids. He functions as one of the primary enforcers for Android 13, the leader of their trio, and fights alongside Android 14 as a unit. The three are presented as a kind of artificial brotherhood, all creations of the same computer and partners in their shared mission. As a character who only appears in this single film, C.15 does not undergo any development or change. He is a static figure, defined entirely by his function as a villainous combatant. His arc, if one can be called that, begins and ends with his activation, his participation in battle, and his destruction to further the plot.
Regarding his abilities, C.15 is a formidable fighter. As a machine, he possesses limitless stamina and an unlimited energy supply, meaning he does not tire from combat. He is capable of flight and firing energy blasts from his hands. He also has a protective shield, and the electronic circuits on his head are visible and exposed when he removes his hat. His fighting style is brutal and direct, but his power is ultimately no match for that of a Super Saiyan. Once Vegeta transforms, he dispatches C.15 with relative ease, demonstrating that the android's abilities are not in the same class as the higher tiers of Saiyan power.
