Description
Cyborg #15, also known as Android 15 or Artificial Human No. 15, is a fictional antagonist from the Dragon Ball Z film Super Android 13!. He is an android created by the villainous Dr. Gero, designed with the singular purpose of assassinating the hero Son Goku, who had dismantled the Red Ribbon Army in his youth. Following Dr. Gero's death at the hands of his own creations, Androids 17 and 18, an underground supercomputer carried out its late master's programming and completed the development of Androids 13, 14, and 15 to fulfill this vendetta. Within this trio, #15 operates alongside his "brother" units, Android #14 and the group's de facto leader, Android #13.

In terms of appearance, Android #15 is distinct for his small, diminutive stature. He has dark skin, prominent pink lips, and completely mechanical eyes. One of his most recognizable features is his attire: a large green hat with a red ball on top, a black and white tuxedo shirt, a dark yellow and blue overcoat, and a red bow tie emblazoned with the Red Ribbon Army logo. A recurring visual trait is his habit of drinking from a small flask during the film.

Android #15 has a very limited and understated personality, primarily due to his minimal dialogue. He shows little emotion and is almost entirely silent, uttering only a few words, such as the name of his target, "Son Goku". His motivation is not complex; he is a programmed assassin with no personal desires beyond the completion of his primary objective: the elimination of Son Goku. He displays loyalty to his directive and his companion androids, working in coordination with them to achieve their mission.

In the story, #15 is first activated by Dr. Gero's supercomputer alongside #14. The pair launch a surprise attack on Goku and his friends at a city department store, quickly escalating the situation and forcing the heroes to relocate the battle to an isolated arctic region to prevent civilian casualties. There, while Goku engages #13, Android #15 confronts the Saiyan prince Vegeta. Initially, Vegeta struggles against the android, but the tide turns completely when he transforms into a Super Saiyan. With this immense surge in power, Vegeta delivers a devastating electrical punch that decapitates Android #15, destroying his body and leaving only his head and core components intact. However, this destruction is an integral part of Dr. Gero's contingency plan. Seizing the opportunity, the damaged Android #13 absorbs the computer chips and power reactors from the fallen #15 and #14, using their parts to transform into the immensely more powerful Super Android #13.

Key relationships define #15. He is wholly subordinate to his creator, Dr. Gero, acting as an instrument of his will. Within the android trio, he is a partner to #14 and a follower to the stronger #13, working seamlessly with both in combat. His primary relationship with the heroes is antagonistic, specifically targeting Vegeta after the fight moves to the arctic. As a character who exists solely to be a combatant, Android #15 does not undergo any significant development. His brief role is to serve as a formidable obstacle for the heroes and, more importantly, to be a component part that facilitates the main villain's transformation.

As an android, #15 possesses superhuman strength, speed, and durability, allowing him to initially hold his own against Vegeta. Like other models, he is capable of flight and energy projection. He is also noted as being a "permanent energy" type android, meaning he does not tire and has an unlimited energy supply, much like Androids 17 and 18. Despite these abilities, his power is ultimately outmatched by a Super Saiyan, leading to his swift and definitive destruction.
