Description
Dr. Collie is a scientist who appears in the eleventh Dragon Ball Z film. He is a human male with a neat, professional appearance, typically wearing a laboratory coat over a shirt and tie along with a pair of fine glasses, which gives him the classical look of a serious and dedicated researcher. He works for a wealthy man named Lord Jaguar, leading a program dedicated to creating powerful Bio-Warriors. His employer intends to use these artificial fighters to publicly defeat and humiliate Mr. Satan, hoping to expose the champion as a fraud. Dr. Collie conducts his experiments in a well-equipped laboratory filled with advanced technological devices, located on a remote island within Mei Queen Castle, a facility funded by clients willing to pay for the creation of such bio-engineered beings.

The doctor's primary motivation stems from a deep obsession with his work and a firm belief that science can transcend the natural limits of living beings. He is driven by the desire to explore the frontiers of biotechnology and to create a perfect warrior for his patron, a goal that pushes him to venture into ethically questionable scientific territory. To achieve this, Dr. Collie acquires a sample of blood from the legendary Super Saiyan Broly, which is brought to him by an exiled priest named Maloja. Using this genetic material, he successfully creates a stable clone of Broly, a powerful bio-warrior intended to be Lord Jaguar's ultimate champion.

In the story, Dr. Collie serves as the facilitator of the film's central conflict through his scientific creations. When Goten and Trunks arrive at the island laboratory and accidentally cause a major leak of a dangerous bio-regeneration fluid, utter chaos ensues. The Broly clone is drenched in this fluid, which mutates him into a mindless, deformed, and slime-covered creature known as Bio-Broly. As the fluid begins to dissolve everything it touches, including several of the scientists and the priest Maloja, Dr. Collie finds himself in grave danger and is ultimately rescued by Goten and Trunks. During the evacuation, he initially believes there is no way to stop the rapidly spreading bio-fluid. However, he witnesses that seawater causes the substance to turn into stone, a crucial observation that provides the heroes with the key to defeating Bio-Broly and preventing the fluid from consuming the entire planet.

Dr. Collie's key relationships are defined by his professional roles. He is subordinate to the wealthy and demanding Lord Jaguar, whom he serves by creating an army of Bio-Warriors. Crucially, he is the creator of Bio-Broly, a clone that represents both the pinnacle of his scientific achievement and the source of the destructive catastrophe that destroys his laboratory. While he interacts with his own team of scientists and the heroes Goten and Trunks, he does not have a personal relationship with the original Z-Fighters, who arrive only to deal with the crisis he helped create. The character does not undergo significant development within the film, serving a functional role as the archetypal scientist whose ambition unleashes a monster. Following the destruction of the island and Bio-Broly, Dr. Collie does not reappear in the Dragon Ball Z series, and his ultimate fate remains unknown.

In terms of abilities, Dr. Collie possesses no notable combat skills or superhuman powers. His expertise lies entirely in the realm of science, where he demonstrates a remarkable proficiency in extreme biotechnology and genetic engineering. He has access to advanced technology that can analyze the past, present, and potentially the future of a being using only a DNA sample. His greatest achievement is his bio-technology, which allows him to fully recreate a living warrior, even an immensely powerful Saiyan like Broly, from a simple fragment of genetic material.
