TV-Series
Description
Eskolako zuzendaria, whose full name is Bunta Takakura, is the principal of Futaba Kindergarten, the school attended by the main characters of the series. His most immediately recognizable trait is his physical appearance, which includes a large, imposing stature, a distinctive punch perm hairstyle, a mustache, a facial scar, and a perpetual pair of sunglasses, usually complemented by a dark suit. This intimidating look is a central source of humor in the series, as the principal is frequently mistaken for a Yakuza or gangster by new acquaintances and passersby, a misunderstanding that is often playfully worsened by the children, particularly Shinnosuke Nohara, who frequently addresses him as Kumichō, meaning gang boss or godfather.

Despite his fearsome exterior, the principal's true personality is the direct opposite of what his appearance suggests. He possesses an exceedingly tender heart and a gentle disposition, showing a deep and genuine love for the children under his care. He is portrayed as a kind, soft-hearted, and warm individual, embodying the ideal qualities of a dedicated educator. This stark contrast between his menacing look and his gentle nature fuels many of the series' comedic situations where other adults react to him with fear, only to discover his harmless reality, or when the children completely ignore his scary looks and treat him with their usual lack of filter.

His primary role in the story is as the head administrator of Futaba Kindergarten, where he oversees the daily activities of the Sunflower class and the other groups. He is responsible for the well-being of the students and staff. In addition to his administrative duties, he is often seen driving the kindergarten bus. His deep affection for the children is his main motivation, and his actions are consistently aimed at creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for them. Within the kindergarten, his key relationship is with his wife, Mrs. Takakura, who serves as the vice-principal; together, they run the school. He also interacts closely with the teachers, like Miss Yoshinaga, though these relationships are defined by his professional and caring demeanor. His most notable relationship is, of course, with Shin-chan, whose relentless teasing and nickname-calling are a recurring challenge for the well-meaning principal, testing his patience in a way few other things can.

While the principal does not undergo any dramatic personal development, his character remains a consistent and beloved source of humor based on the gap between his appearance and reality. In a few episodes, he has taken on the lighthearted alter ego of Enchoman, a superhero persona he briefly adopts to boost morale or deal with a specific situation, though this charade is usually short-lived, often because Shin-chan easily sees through it. In terms of notable abilities, beyond his kindness and administrative competence, he has shown an interest in women's wrestling, indicating a personal pastime outside of school. However, his primary and most significant ability is his endless patience and unwavering dedication to his students, allowing him to handle the constant chaos that Shin-chan brings to the kindergarten with a remarkable level of calm and good-natured endurance.
