Description
Ginnosuke Nohara is the paternal grandfather of Shinnosuke and Himawari, and the father of Hiroshi Nohara. He is sixty-five years old and lives with his wife, Tsuru, in the rural prefecture of Akita, where the family home is a traditional Japanese house located in the countryside.
In terms of personality, Ginnosuke shares a great deal in common with his young grandson. He possesses a mischievous and playful nature, enjoys playing strange and elaborate jokes, and has a very noticeable interest in pretty young women, a trait he has passed down to both his son and grandson. He is affectionately called Gin-chan by his family. His behavior is often a source of exasperation for his daughter-in-law, Misae, as he tends to overstay his welcome and engage in immature antics.
