Description
Lord Wuzu, also known as the Crane Hermit, is a martial arts master and the main antagonist of Dragon Ball Movie 3: Mystical Adventure. He is the older brother of the assassin Tao Pai Pai and the teacher of Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu. In his youth, he studied under Master Mutaito alongside Master Roshi, but after Mutaito was defeated and later died sealing away King Piccolo, bitterness and resentment took root in his heart. He eventually abandoned his master’s teachings and founded the Crane School, a discipline that values winning by any means necessary and includes assassination techniques.
In the film’s story, Lord Wuzu serves as a minister to the young Emperor Chiaotzu. He manipulates the emperor into gathering the seven Dragon Balls by claiming they can be used to find Chiaotzu’s lost wife Ran Ran. In truth, Lord Wuzu, together with Tao Pai Pai and the reluctant Tenshinhan, plans to kill Chiaotzu and seize control of the kingdom. He is cunning and deceitful, presenting himself as a loyal advisor while orchestrating a coup. His motivations are driven by a desire for power and a long-nursed grudge against the world, and he shows no hesitation in ordering the elimination of anyone who gets in his way.
