Description
Emperor Gore III rules the Dinosaur Empire, successor to his father Emperor Gore and Empress Jatego. He is the older half-brother of Kamui Sho, a half-human hybrid piloting the Getter Kirik for the Saotome Institute. This kinship makes Kamui a potential heir, fueling Gore III's intense fear of usurpation.

Physically resembling his father, Gore III sports his father's cobra-like headdress but possesses a darker complexion, locks of black hair framing his face, and wears a dark gown. A distinctive crest adorns his forehead. Though he maintains a regal, polite public demeanor, he struggles to conceal powerful emotions like fury or terror, especially when confronted by perceived threats from Kamui to his authority.

His personality blends a diplomatic facade with underlying ruthlessness. While publicly advocating an alliance between the Dinosaur Empire and humanity against the Andromeda Stellaration, he secretly plots to betray the Saotome Institute after their mutual enemy falls. He manipulates Kamui by holding Kamui's human mother hostage, promising her freedom and a position of power in exchange for Kamui acting as his mole within the institute, a promise likely insincere given Gore III's deceitful nature.

Gore III's leadership proves insecure and ineffective. Lacking the charisma of predecessors, he fails to inspire loyalty during crises, such as the economic turmoil following Empress Jatego's failed Earth invasion. His unpopularity stems from an inability to address post-war challenges like resource depletion and dwindling support. Paranoia over Kamui's popularity drives him to suppress knowledge of Kamui's royal lineage, fearing it would legitimize Kamui's claim.

A pivotal moment occurs when Kamui stages a coup, seizing control and reducing Gore III to a figurehead. During this shift, Gore III exhibits visible terror upon learning Kamui acquired BUG, a universe-altering weapon rivaling Getter Robo's power. In the anime, he is later seen declaring war on humanity via hologram, with Kamui beside him signaling endorsement. His ultimate fate remains ambiguous, though speculation suggests he may have reclaimed his throne by blaming the failed war solely on Kamui, leading to Kamui's imprisonment on Mars.

Gore III's background includes unresolved succession details. His title "the Third" implies an unaccounted ruler (Gore II) between his father and Empress Jatego, though their exact relationship remains unexplained. His reign is defined by political maneuvering, familial rivalry, and a persistent, futile ambition to restore the Dinosaur Empire's dominance.
