Description
Aisley is the sixteen-year-old third-born child and second daughter of the family at the center of the anime Frankenstein Family. She is a human hybrid who carries the genetic traits of a spider, a result of the unethical experiments conducted by her parents, both mad scientists. This modification manifests most prominently in the four large spider legs that grow from her back, a physical feature that sets her apart from ordinary people and makes it difficult to conceal her true nature.

In terms of personality, Aisley is characterized by a strong-willed and independent nature. She has a deep-seated aversion to feeling constrained or restricted, which often puts her at odds with her younger brother, Tanis. Unlike Tanis, who is the only unmodified sibling and is determined to help the family blend into normal society, Aisley is pragmatic and perhaps cynical about their chances for acceptance. She openly accepts the reality that they are not normal and holds the belief that they will never be truly welcomed by the outside world, a viewpoint that leads to frequent arguments with Tanis whenever he tries to deny the evidence of their differences. Her motivations are rooted in a desire to live authentically without being forced into a mold of normalcy that she feels is unattainable for her and her siblings.

Aisley has a notable fondness for eating, and her palate reflects her spider heritage, as she has a particular preference for consuming insects. Her role in the story is primarily that of a foil to Tanis, as her resistance to his plans creates much of the central conflict within the sibling group. While Tanis strives for integration and secrecy, Aisley represents the struggle for self-acceptance and the rejection of shame regarding their origins. Her key relationships are most defined by this contentious dynamic with Tanis, whereas she interacts more as one of the unique siblings alongside Snow, the dog hybrid; Ashise, the plant hybrid; and Suishi, the mind reader. Regarding her development, Aisley's journey centers on navigating the tension between her own desire for freedom from societal expectations and her brother's earnest, if perhaps naive, efforts to keep the family together and safe. Her notable abilities are tied directly to her spider physiology, granting her the four extra limbs which provide her with unusual mobility and a distinctly intimidating appearance.
