TV-Series
Description
Azuki is a female tricolor cat and one of the two main feline characters in the series. Her name is derived from the Japanese word for red bean, azuki. She lives in a household with her owner, a cat-loving office worker in her thirties, as well as the owner’s father, mother, grandfather, and older brother, whom the cats call Megane.

In terms of personality, Azuki presents an interesting contrast between appearance and reality. She looks like the older sister type who might be expected to take charge, but in truth she is timid and cautious. This combination of a mature exterior with a more nervous interior defines much of her behavior. She speaks using the Kansai dialect. Her primary motivation appears to be her love for maguro tuna, which she is said to be able to eat all day.

Within the story, Azuki plays a central role as one of the household’s cats, and the narrative follows the daily life of the family from the perspective of its animal residents. Her most significant relationship is with Daizu, a quiet male cat who is always following after her. This dynamic, where she is the object of his attention, complements her personality as someone who may appear to be the leader but is actually more cautious. She also interacts with the other members of the household, including the owner, Megane, and a Shiba Inu dog named Mamenosuke who was adopted by Megane and, having grown up around cats, thinks of himself as one as well. There is no specific information available regarding Azuki's development over the course of the series or any notable abilities she may possess.
