TV-Series
Description
Nikolai Brahe held Rank 2 in the criminal organization Ouroboros, marked by an Ouroboros tattoo on his right hand. His NEXT ability petrified opponents upon continuous activation, with deactivation reversing the effect.
An orphan raised among the Nemo Children, Nikolai later adopted several children, including twin brothers Fugan and Mugan. He first encountered the young twins during a restaurant altercation where a counter attendant threatened them upon discovering their NEXT abilities. Nikolai intervened, saving them and offering shelter. Though initially placed with other Nemo Children, Fugan and Mugan disliked the arrangement and asked to live solely with Nikolai, who agreed.
Approximately six months before the events in Stern Bild, Ouroboros ordered Nikolai to deploy Fugan and Mugan against heroes. Nikolai expressed reluctance, arguing they were children unprepared to battle experienced heroes, but complied after Ouroboros dismissed his concerns. He presented the mission to the twins as a chance to surpass their idol, L.L. Audun. Unbeknownst to Nikolai, the twins deduced Ouroboros's involvement but chose to participate to please him.
In Stern Bild, Nikolai collaborated with fellow Rank 2 member Sigourney Rosicky on Ouroboros initiatives. Rosicky provided a NEXT-enhancing drug developed by Mattia Ingram and Randle. Despite Nikolai's objections, Rosicky administered the drug to Fugan and Mugan to amplify their powers for combat.
On December 24th, Nikolai monitored the twins' final battle via Hero TV. Alarmed when Fugan sustained an injury, he investigated after hearing gunfire and discovered a wounded Rosicky, who revealed test subject Gregory Sunshine had escaped with the drug. Nikolai pursued Sunshine, cornering him outside. Severely injured, Fugan and Mugan returned to tearfully bid farewell and express gratitude to Nikolai. Sunshine then fatally shot the twins, provoking Nikolai's rage. Sunshine shot Nikolai in the chest. In his final moments, Nikolai removed his gloves, deactivated his petrification ability, and gently touched the twins' bodies as he died.
His body, alongside Fugan and Mugan's, was later discovered after Mattia reported their location to authorities.
