TV-Series
Description
Pine is a supporting character in ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. He is one of the Five Chief Officers who form the highest level of leadership within ACCA, the civilian organization that administers the thirteen autonomous districts of the Kingdom of Dowa. He comes from the Jumoku ward, a district known for producing large people and abundant crops, and fittingly he is the tallest of the five chief officers. He is an adult man with short green hair that reaches his ears and orange eyes.
In terms of personality, Pine carries himself as a composed and seasoned figure within the upper ranks of ACCA. He is an avid smoker, and he is frequently shown sharing tea with Lilium, another of the five chief officers, which points to a comfortable and familiar working relationship between them. He tends to act as part of the collective leadership rather than as an individual voice, siding with his fellow chiefs in their shared assessments of the political events unfolding around them.
As one of the five chief officers, Pine's role in the story is tied to the highest levels of ACCA's decision-making. He takes part in the closed-door meetings where the future of the Inspection Department is debated, and he is drawn into the broader political tensions surrounding the royal succession. When Prince Schwan delivers his speech at his coming-of-age ceremony, Pine joins the other chief officers in dismissing it as terrible, showing the wary attitude the leadership holds toward the young prince's boldness.
Pine does not demonstrate any special combat or investigative talents; his significance comes from his position and presence. His height makes him physically the most imposing of the five chiefs, and his role as a chief officer gives him authority over the whole of ACCA. He appears throughout the main television series and also in the follow-up OVA Regards, where he continues to serve as one of the organization's top administrators rather than undergoing any major personal change.
