Description
Jet Link, designated Cyborg 002, is one of the nine protagonists from the 2016 CGI film. He is an American cyborg whose primary function in the team is aerial attack, surveillance, and rescue.

In this incarnation, Jet has short blonde hair with a long, messy fringe, light blue eyes, and an athletic build. He wears a redesigned 00 Cyborg uniform that consists of a bright red, high-collared armored vest over a dark red bodysuit, complete with black straps, armored boots, and his signature yellow scarf that flows through a slit in the back of his collar. The uniform incorporates militaristic elements resembling stealth recon gear.

Jet possesses the power of flight, using high-tech jet propulsion engines built into his legs and feet. He can fly at speeds of up to Mach 5, making him the team's primary airborne asset. His abilities allow him to engage enemies from above, conduct reconnaissance, and rescue teammates or civilians from dangerous situations.

The character's background in Call of Justice follows the original manga continuity. He was kidnapped by the secret organization Black Ghost and forcibly transformed into a 00 Cyborg. After rebelling and escaping captivity with his fellow cyborgs, he became a protector of humanity, defending people from Black Ghost and other threats. Following the end of the Cold War, public perception turned against the 00 Cyborgs, who were viewed as living weapons. Jet worked for a time as a CIA agent, but after the team failed to prevent an atomic bomb from destroying Dubai, the United Nations established Guardian troops, forcing Jet and the other cyborgs into hiding. They eventually settled into a peaceful, incognito retirement on a remote Texas ranch.

When journalist Lucy Davenport tracks down the team with a warning about the Blessed, a cabal of long-lived superhumans, Jet joins his comrades in coming out of retirement to confront this new threat. He fights alongside the other 00 Cyborgs, including team leader Joe Shimamura (009), sensory specialist Françoise Arnoul (003), and the psychic infant Ivan Whisky (001). During the conflict, he is released from custody by a character named Igarashi and participates in efforts to rescue Ivan from the Blessed. Jet also faces one of the Blessed outside a space station during the climax of the story.

While detailed personality information specific to the Call of Justice version is not extensively documented, the character maintains his role as a brash, outspoken, and loyal member of the team. He is a former street gang leader from New York City, a background that informs his tough demeanor and his tendency to act first and think later in combat situations. Despite his confrontational attitude at times, he harbors strong loyalty to his fellow cyborgs and Dr. Gilmore, their creator and mentor. He is recognizable by his unusually long nose, a distinctive physical trait that carries through all versions of the character.
