Description
Anastasia L, often called Anna for short, is a 17-year-old girl with long black hair and a height of 162 centimeters. She is known as the Saint of Resurrection or the Saint of the End. Her existence is deeply tied to the world’s spirits, as she is a reincarnation of the legendary founder of spirit magic. Her magical Archive is Luxuria, representing lust, and her unique Thema is Terminus, which signifies the end.

On the surface, Anastasia presents herself as a sweet, kind, and polite young woman. She is charming and friendly, quickly attracting the attention of those around her. She speaks with a confident, somewhat masculine tone, often using the pronoun boku, which gives her a self-assured and slightly boyish demeanor. She can be playful and affectionate, particularly with Arata Kasuga, whom she treats tenderly despite calling him her enemy. However, beneath this gentle exterior lies a more sinister and menacing side. Her personality can shift instantly to become hostile and calculating, a darkness that even makes other powerful characters wary of her. This duality defines her actions, as she is driven by a deep, affectionate longing that manifests as a possessive and drastic plan.

Anastasia’s central motivation stems from a desire to be with Arata Kasuga and to provide him with an eternal, peaceful rest. She believes she is his destined partner, describing him as her soul mate even before they formally meet. Her plan is to seal Arata and his companions, the Trinity Seven, within her domain, the Eternal Library or the World of Demise, so they can all remain together forever in a state of quiet eternity. This desire is rooted in a tragic past. Seventeen years before the main story, she was a student at Royal Akasha Academy and earned the right to become a Trinity Seven. Her existence was disrupted when another version of Lilith Asami was sent to her world, creating a paradox that caused Anastasia’s physical form to begin collapsing. To prevent a catastrophic breakdown, she used a forbidden spell to stabilize reality, sacrificing her own body and existence to become a part of the Eternal Library.

Her role in the story is that of the primary antagonist, acting as the catalyst for the events of the film. She is responsible for awakening the White Demon Lord and confronts Arata and the Trinity Seven to enact her plan of eternal containment. Despite being an adversary, her actions are not born of malice but of a profound loneliness and a desire for connection, making her a sympathetic figure.

Her key relationships are few but intensely important. Her bond with Arata Kasuga is the most significant. She is inexplicably drawn to him, and his魔王因子, or Demon Lord element, instinctively reacts to her presence. She eventually forces him to become her knight, yet he refuses to abandon her, ultimately sacrificing his own power to help stabilize her existence, an act that deepens her love for him. She is also deeply connected to her best friend from the past, Ayesha, a great mage who helped break the seal on the Eternal Library to allow Anastasia to return to the real world. Her relationship with Hijiri Kasuga is one of polite but tense rivalry, as both hold strong, conflicting feelings for Arata.

Throughout the story, Anastasia undergoes significant development. She begins as a seemingly sweet girl whose hidden plan is to force Arata and his friends into an eternal prison. After she is defeated, Arata refuses to let her disappear, using a massive spell to anchor her to reality and restore her physical body. This act of selflessness redeems her and grants her a second chance at a normal existence. Following her stabilization, she becomes a genuine ally, fighting alongside the group against greater threats, such as the Twelve Demon Generals, though her past as an antagonist is never forgotten.

Anastasia possesses a range of notable abilities. Her primary magic is Spirit Magic, also known as Elemental Conductor, which allows her to communicate with and borrow power from the spirits that make up the world itself. As long as these spirits exist, her magical energy supply is virtually unlimited. Her unique Thema, Terminus, is an ancient, lost magic from the Luxuria Archive that is feared for its ability to devour souls and life force. Her ultimate technique is the Last Crest spell Aeshma Deva, also called Infinite Barrier, which allows her to traverse the World of Demise and seal any target within the Eternal Library for all eternity. In addition to her magical prowess, she is a highly skilled swordswoman, capable of combining her spirit magic with melee combat using a longsword she can summon at will. Later, after her resurrection, she also gains Demon Lord elements, making her an even more complex and powerful being.
