Description
Tamako Nobi, Nobita's mother, appears only briefly in the Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi. Her background is that of a homemaker and the wife of Nobisuke Nobi. In the film, she is seen at the very beginning, scolding Nobita for not enduring the summer heat properly, which prompts the group to seek relief elsewhere. At the conclusion of the adventure, after Nobita and Doraemon have returned home, she is heard calling them for dinner, providing a sense of normalcy and closure. Her personality, consistent across the series, is that of a caring but strict parent. She is serious about Nobita's responsibilities and education, often reprimanding him for his laziness or poor marks. Her primary motivation is the well-being and proper upbringing of her son, which drives her to maintain order in the household. In this movie, her role is limited to bookending the main adventure. She does not participate in the Antarctic journey and serves as a grounding element, representing the everyday life from which Nobita departs and to which he returns. Her key relationship is with Nobita, whom she loves but constantly corrects. She also has a cordial relationship with Doraemon, who helps with chores. There is no notable character development for her in this specific film; her portrayal is consistent with the established series. She possesses no special abilities, as she is an ordinary human mother whose strength lies in her persistent care for her family.
