Description
Mio Odagiri is a first-year student at Fujimi High School and a member of the girls' basketball team. She is widely regarded as the school idol, a reputation built on her beauty, bright personality, and kind nature. Her sociable and cheerful demeanor makes her very popular among her classmates and upperclassmen alike.

As a basketball player, Mio has excellent athletic ability and a strong physique—she is taller than the protagonist, Aoyama, and has a better build. Despite her natural talent, she struggles with shooting, which is her main weakness on the court. Her motivation centers on improving her skills, and she looks up to Aoyama for his exceptional shooting technique. After receiving his advice during a practice session, she begins working on her shooting, even attempting dunk shots to overcome her weakness.

Mio’s role in the story is that of a minor supporting character who interacts with Aoyama in a way that sets her apart from nearly everyone else: she is the only person Aoyama can touch without triggering his severe mysophobia. This unique ability makes her a notable figure in the series. She holds deep respect for Aoyama, affectionately calling him "Master" in recognition of his help and skill. Their relationship is built on mutual respect and a brief but meaningful exchange on the basketball court.

In terms of development, Mio starts as a helpless-looking player who cannot score easily, but after Aoyama’s guidance, she gains confidence and works to improve her shooting. Her arc highlights her determination and willingness to learn, though she remains primarily a background figure whose main contribution to the story is demonstrating Aoyama’s rare ability to tolerate physical contact and reinforcing the theme of overcoming personal limitations. Her notable abilities include her general athleticism, her popularity and social skills, and her unique status as the only person who can physically interact with Aoyama without causing him distress.
