TV-Series
Description
Aoyama is the protagonist of the series, a first-year student at Fujimi High School whose first name is never disclosed. He stands 175 centimeters tall and was born on May 30. As a talented midfielder, he has experience playing for the national U-16 team and wears the ace number 10 jersey for his school's soccer club, a team considered an underdog in their league.

Aoyama's most defining characteristic is his extreme mysophobia, a compulsive obsession with cleanliness and fear of germs. This condition dictates nearly every aspect of his daily life. He is repulsed by physical contact with other people, to the point of fainting if someone touches him. He refuses to eat food prepared by anyone else, which has forced him to become an excellent cook in order to feed himself. His school bag is always stocked with various cleaning tools and rubber gloves, and he spends his free time polishing, washing, and disinfecting the objects around him, from classroom windows and chalkboards to the team's soccer balls and clubroom. He even chose to attend the relatively weak Fujimi High School because of two specific features: its pristine white team uniforms and the fact that its toilets are equipped with bidets.

Despite his eccentric and isolating habits, Aoyama is exceptionally popular and widely admired by both his male and female peers, who view him as cool, talented, and perfect. He maintains a calm, quiet, and taciturn demeanor, rarely speaking more than necessary and keeping an emotional distance from everyone around him. However, this reserved exterior masks a fierce fighting spirit and a deep-seated hatred for cowardly people and actions. When his competitive fire is ignited, he can engage in aggressive, rough, and flashy plays on the soccer field. This intense effort comes at a steep cost, as the stress of becoming dirty limits him to roughly five minutes of such all-out play before he becomes unable to continue.

Aoyama's motivation to play soccer, a sport inherently full of dirt and contact, is a central contradiction of his character. His love for the game drives him to overcome his phobia by developing a unique playing style as a midfielder that relies on frighteningly precise movements to avoid any physical contact with other players and even the ball, which he primarily handles with his feet. His role in the story is as the catalyst for most events at Fujimi High. His presence draws large crowds to practices and games, attracts talent scouts, and forces his teammates and rivals to constantly adapt to his unusual requirements. The narrative often explores how other characters perceive and react to his idiosyncrasies, from a one-sided rivalry with a fellow closeted clean freak to inspiring a popular manga artist.

Aoyama's key relationships highlight different facets of his personality. He shares a significant connection with Mio Odagiri, the school's idol and a basketball club member, who is the only person he can tolerate touching without fainting, for reasons even he does not fully understand. This relationship represents a major area of personal development, as he begins to seek out her touch and experience the beauty of physical connection. On the soccer team, he has a contentious dynamic with Kaoru Zaizen, the former playmaker who resents Aoyama's natural talent and eccentric behavior but is also inspired by his dedication. Another unique relationship is with his classmate Shion Narita, a fellow mysophobe who hides his condition. Unbeknownst to Shion, he plays online games with Aoyama, who adopts a high-energy and sloppy online persona that is the complete opposite of his real-world self, using the handle Aoyama Sempaku. He is also relentlessly supported by Moka Gotō, a girl who has had a crush on him since elementary school and acts as a fiercely protective, if unhinged, team manager.

Aoyama's notable abilities are extensive. As a soccer player, he is a prodigy with innate talent and skills that earned him a place on a national team. His playing style is described as existing within an absolute domain where he avoids all physical contact, using precise dribbling and one-touch passes to evade defenders. He is also a gifted cook and excels academically. His obsessive nature, while a hindrance in social situations, makes him exceptionally thorough in all cleaning-related tasks.
