Description
Heath Moore, known in Japan as Nosaka Yuuma, is one of the main characters in Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin. He is initially introduced as the captain and a forward for Outei Tsukinomiya (Lunar Prime Academy), wearing the number ten jersey. In the subsequent series, Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin, he transitions to a midfielder for Inazuma Japan, becoming the secondary captain and wearing number fourteen. He is in eighth grade and is often referred to by the nickname Royal Tactician.
Heath is a tall boy with a pale complexion, spiky pink hair, and dull gray eyes. His demeanor matches his appearance; he is a calm, cool, and calculating individual who initially finds no joy in soccer. At the beginning of Ares no Tenbin, he views the sport purely as a tool to achieve his objectives and is ruthless on the field, prioritizing efficient, swift results over the pleasure of playing. This behavior stems from his belief in the Ares system as a means to create a better world, and he often speaks in a cold, direct, and sometimes sarcastic manner. However, this emotional detachment masks a deep-seated yearning for affection and a lonely internal world.
Heath's motivations are rooted in a painful past. When he was a child, his mother, overwhelmed by depression, and his overworked father decided to place him in a childcare institution, effectively abandoning him. This experience left him feeling that his existence was without meaning. Despite this, he demonstrated immense bravery when an apartment building caught fire; he entered the burning building to save a young girl and, unable to escape the flames, jumped from the balcony. This act left him with crown-shaped scars on his back and led to his first encounter with Duske Grayling. His primary goal in Ares is to use the Ares system to change the world so that no other child has to suffer the abandonment he did. This mission is given tragic urgency by the revelation that he is suffering from a brain tumor and has only three months left to live.
In the story, Heath serves as a formidable rival and strategic mastermind. He and his friend Duske take a keen interest in Raimon, particularly their coach, and watch many of their matches. He has a complex connection to the Raimon players. He visits Candice Blanchet in the hospital, where he gives her flowers, and it is later implied that she is following his plan to manipulate Elliot Ember. His relationship with Elliot is initially antagonistic, as Elliot blames Heath for Candice's situation, but Heath eventually acknowledges his failing. His cold worldview is gradually challenged and changed by the enthusiasm and pure joy for soccer displayed by Sonny Wright and Elliot. His encounters with Regina Mulgrave also affect him; she helps him when he collapses in a stadium, and he develops feelings for her that begin to disrupt his rigid judgment.
Throughout Ares no Tenbin, Heath is portrayed as someone who depends on the Ares system for his strategies, believing in quick, effective results. However, his interactions with Raimon lead to significant development. By the end of the season, he rediscovers the joy that soccer can bring and becomes more playful and friendly with his teammates. In the final, he leads his team against Raimon but loses. After the match, he uses his intelligence to dismantle the Ares system, using his own brain tumor, which was aggravated by the system, as evidence of its dangers. He is then able to have a successful operation to remove the tumor. By the time of Orion no Kokuin, Heath has recovered and is much more open and happy, taking genuine pleasure in playing soccer.
Heath is a highly skilled all-rounder, known for overwhelming the opposition with exceptional leadership and sharp tactics. His notable solo hissatsu techniques include King s Lance, a powerful shooting move where he summons a spectral king to throw a lance at the goal, and Sky Walk, a dribbling technique that allows him to walk on air. His signature hissatsu tactic is Grid Omega, which creates a massive, devastating tornado that lifts and incapacitates all opposing players. In Orion no Kokuin, he develops and uses a stronger version called Grid Omega Version 2.0, as well as Ouja no Takuto to direct his teammates. He also uses the powerful combination shoot Last Resort Σ with several of his teammates.
