TV-Series
Description
Marie Inuyashiki is the wife of Ichiro Inuyashiki and the mother of their two children, Mari and Takeshi. She works as a cashier. In the earlier part of the story, she is portrayed as a largely indifferent and emotionally distant spouse who treats Ichiro primarily as a provider rather than a partner. She is preoccupied with her family’s social standing and the behavior of her children, and she shows little awareness of Ichiro’s terminal stomach cancer diagnosis or the emotional and physical struggles he faces. Her attitude contributes to the deep sense of isolation Ichiro feels within his own household. Marie remains unaware of Ichiro’s transformation into a powerful mechanical being until the climax of the series, when the revelation of his secret heroism forces her to confront the way she treated him. Though she does not undergo a major character arc or develop any special abilities, her role in the story serves to illustrate the neglect and loneliness that define Ichiro’s domestic life before his transformation. Her eventual recognition of Ichiro’s true nature marks a turning point in their relationship, but she remains a static figure for most of the narrative, functioning as part of the emotional pressure that Ichiro must overcome.
