Kosuke Hoji is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator within the CCG who began his career as the partner of Kureo Mado prior to being deployed on a major assignment in China, where he gained experience dismantling powerful ghoul organizations such as the Chinese Red Tongue gang. Later assigned to the 20th ward, he became the partner of Seidou Takizawa and worked on the Gourmet case. Hoji is deeply dedicated to the mastery of quinque and is regarded as having surpassed his former partner Mado in that discipline. He also participates in the auction cleanup operation.
