Description
Chuukou Kyoucho, also known as Kyocho Chuukou, is a first-year student at Kyosho Academy and serves as a devoted fighter within the Kyosho faction. Her counterpart in the classic Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the warrior Xu Chu. Chuukou is easily recognizable by her towering height of 184 centimeters, making her one of the tallest female fighters in her series, and her shoulder-length green hair. She typically dresses in a school gym uniform complemented by knee and elbow pads, an outfit that reflects her constant state of combat readiness. Her physical measurements are notably 99-60-91, and she is recognized for having the largest bust measurement among the female characters. She was born on June 20th and has O blood type.
The foundation of Chuukou's personality and motivations is a deeply traumatic event from her past. During her younger years, she was a member of a judo club with Moutoku Sousou. Because of her exceptional height for her age, she was frequently bullied and harassed by other male club members, who once attempted to forcibly remove her clothes to verify her gender. Sousou intervened, and in his rage, his latent dragon spirit awakened and slaughtered her attackers. This incident forged an unbreakable bond between them. After regaining consciousness, Chuukou was the only one who could approach the rampaging Sousou, embracing him and transferring her chi to calm his fury. From that moment, she dedicated her life to protecting Sousou, a duty that was later formally assigned to her by the head of Kyosho Academy, Chutatsu Shibai.
As a result of her past, Chuukou presents herself as emotionally reserved, showing little to no outward expression. Despite her stoic and seemingly impassive demeanor, she possesses a profound capacity for care and an intense, unwavering loyalty, particularly towards Sousou and her allies at Kyosho Academy. This fierce protective instinct is the core driver behind all her actions and combat engagements. She serves as a crucial figure for Sousou, as she is uniquely unafraid of his dangerous dragon state and is the only one capable of approaching and calming him when he loses control.
Chuukou's role in the story is primarily that of Sousou's most trusted guardian and a formidable warrior for Kyosho Academy. She holds the rank of Special A-Class Toushi, a testament to her immense strength and combat prowess. During the events of the Battle of Red Cliffs, she demonstrated her power by easily overpowering and choking Ekitoku Chouhi into unconsciousness. She later engaged in a decisive battle with Unchou Kan-u for possession of the Dragon Jade, ultimately being defeated by Kan-u's heightened aggression. In later storylines, she confronted Bachou Mouki when Mouki attempted to challenge Sousou. When Kyosho Academy selected representatives for a tournament on Nanban Island, Chuukou was chosen alongside Shikou Soujin. After being ambushed by Nanban warriors on their transport, she escaped and swam to the island with Bachou Mouki. During this journey, a notable development occurs as the two former enemies gradually reconcile, with Chuukou sharing her personal perspective on Sousou and fostering an unexpected camaraderie with Mouki. She later allied with Hakufu Sonsaku to rescue imprisoned fighters and combat the Nanban forces. Beyond fighting, Chuukou is also a talented volleyball player, using her height and long limbs to excel at the sport, and she is a member of the school's stitching club, despite being actively recruited by the judo club.
