Osaki-ko, more commonly called O-chan, is a small fox spirit who belongs to the category of supernatural beings known as Osaki. In the world of Hiiro no Kakera, an Osaki is a type of fox spirit that serves as a protecting and guiding spirit for the Tamayori Princess, the central figure responsible for maintaining the sacred seals in the story. Osaki-ko first crosses paths with the protagonist, Tamaki Kasuga, shortly after Tamaki arrives in the village of Kifumura. At that time, she appears not in the form of a fox but as a small, white, round creature with stick-like limbs that is capable of speaking.
