Suzuri is a tsukumogami born from an inkstone, residing with the Nagatsuki household as a servant to Botan Nagatsuki. He typically manifests as a young man with his right eye hidden by his hair. He possesses deep knowledge of culture and tourism, holding the highest certification level in the Sightseeing and Culture Test. Suzuri is friendly yet distinctly flirtatious, readily initiating conversations with humans, especially women, driven by personal preference. This habit sometimes sparks conflicts, most notably with Hyoma Kunato, who initially disliked Suzuri's approach. Beneath his easygoing exterior, Suzuri earnestly seeks meaningful human connections and believes tsukumogami experience emotions akin to humans. He voiced this conviction directly to Hyoma, insisting tsukumogami have feelings. Suzuri's abilities revolve around ink: he can transform his entire body into ink, rendering physical attacks ineffective as they pass through him. He can also manipulate ink to obscure an opponent's vision. His relationship with Hyoma shifted significantly after an incident involving Nagi, another household tsukumogami. During Hyoma's first visit, Suzuri and other tsukumogami reacted defensively when Hyoma accused them of exploiting Botan, leading to a physical fight. Following the Nagi incident, however, Hyoma gained better understanding of Suzuri's perspective and made efforts to acknowledge his feelings. Suzuri participates in missions to seal other tsukumogami. On one such operation, a targeted tsukumogami questioned why they hunted their own kind; Suzuri and his companions responded they were simply performing their duty.
