Therese Latreia is the third daughter of Claire Latreia and Carlyte Latreia, sister to Zenith Greyrat, and aunt to Rudeus and Norn Greyrat. Raised under strict expectations after Zenith's departure, Claire demanded academic and etiquette excellence while opposing women in combat roles. Defying her mother, Therese became a knight in the Order of the Temple, aligned with the Cardinal Faction and displaying tolerance toward demon races. She bears a strong resemblance to Zenith, leading Rudeus to initially confuse them, distinguished only by her hair and the placement of her facial mole. As a Temple Knight, she wears blue plate armor, a helm, and a white cape, wielding a double-edged sword. The Order provides her a horse trained to answer her whistle. Devout in her faith to the Milis Religion yet naturally easygoing and cheerful, Therese holds unwavering loyalty to Milis, prepared to confront family if ordered. Despite this, she acts as a doting aunt to Rudeus. She voices dissent readily and defends her convictions fiercely, showing particular sensitivity about her unmarried status. Her first appearance occurs when Eris saves her from Pope Faction assassins during a goblin hunt in the Milis Kingdom. Therese later repays this by helping Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd bypass customs at West Port, securing their free passage to the Central Continent and supplying their journey. During Zenith's captivity, serving as a guard to the Miko of Memory, Therese advises and aids Rudeus's rescue efforts. She attempts to persuade Claire to release Zenith, enlisting her brother and father. When Rudeus is framed for attempting to kidnap the Miko, duty compels her to reluctantly confront him using "Defence of the Holy Sepulcher (Anastasia)." Following the Miko's kidnapping, Therese is exiled and demoted from Miko guard to sub-captain elsewhere. Rudeus mitigates her punishment by signing a petition from former comrades; though still demoted, she regains her position as a Miko guard under supervision. This action later enables Eris's reunion with the Miko. External analyses reference her exceptional water magic, earning her the epithet "Water Goddess," though detailed descriptions of her abilities remain sparse and under revision in primary sources.
