Description
Nobara is a high-ranking military commander of the human stronghold Central, overseeing all combat operations with the objective of ending the protracted war against vampires and restoring human stability. She is also the mother of Momo, whom she raises strictly to groom her as an heir capable of quelling internal power struggles within Central's leadership.

Her striking appearance features long black hair, glasses, and a distinctive military uniform: red-gray clothing, a high scarf, and dark red-gray gloves.

Intelligent and dedicated to her command duties, Nobara exhibits a no-nonsense approach coupled with ruthlessness, emotional coldness, and indifference. Her relationship with Momo is distant, marked by emotional neglect and abuse, including physical violence like slapping her upon discovering a forbidden music box. Despite genuine love for her daughter, Nobara consistently prioritizes her military career and political standing over Momo's well-being, even authorizing soldiers to open fire on a mutated vampire despite the clear risk to Momo. Her brother Kubo criticizes her neglect of maternal responsibilities.

In her past, Nobara lived with Kubo and his family. She married, gave birth to Momo, and later assisted Kubo in killing his vampire wife and vampire guests during their wedding. This act earned her promotion to general of Central's military and solidified her deep-seated hatred of vampires.

During Central's operations, Nobara reassigns Momo to an administrative role, dismissing Momo's explanation for hesitating to shoot a vampire child as endangering comrades. After Momo flees Central with the vampire queen Fine, Nobara faces political pressure over her daughter's perceived treason. She collaborates with Kubo to track Momo, asserting that traitors must face consequences. Kubo believes her motivations aim to protect her status, suggesting Momo's death would resolve political problems.

Nobara confronts Momo at a lakeside village where humans and vampires attempt coexistence. She initially points a gun at Momo as she carries Fine's body, declaring Momo brought this upon herself. However, when Momo thanks her and expresses a desire for both to live their own lives, Nobara lowers the weapon and allows Momo to walk away. This signals a reluctant acceptance of her daughter's choice, a minor shift from her previously uncompromising principles.
