Mikoto is the Princess of Elua and the main protagonist of the anime Driland. Inspired by a hunter who visited her town when she was a child, she decides to leave her royal life behind and become a treasure hunter, exploring the land of Driland. She is a cheerful and friendly young woman who always wears a smile and is quick to lend a hand to anyone in need, even strangers. Her kindness is unwavering, and she refuses to abandon her friends no matter how dangerous the situation becomes. Mikoto possesses a strong sense of justice and a deep determination to follow her dream. Her primary motivation is the thrill of adventure and the desire to discover the world's hidden treasures, as well as a wish to emulate her heroine, the legendary hunter Bonnie. Mikoto serves as the leader of her adventuring party, which includes her loyal personal assistant Wallens, the ambitious young hunter Pollon, and the wandering knight Paan.
