Description
Nora Floriann Leoria is a senior demon who originates from the era of Old Hell. She served in the Runaway Spirit Squad prior to the Great Spirit Escape that took place ten years before the events of the Tenri Arc. As an older model of demon, her physical appearance is notably more mature and buxom compared to younger demons such as Elsie and Haqua. She possesses white hair and stands 167 centimeters tall.
Her personality is marked by arrogance and a disdainful attitude toward others, yet she is highly competent and takes pride in her exceptional skills. Nora has the ability to peer into a person’s heart to read their hidden emotions and desires, and she also wields considerable physical strength. Her methods for extracting loose souls are aggressive and often lethal; she is willing to cause harm to her targets or even kill others if it serves her objective. She was awarded the Great Demon Medal after capturing seven spirits within a single term, second only to Elsie.
Nora is partnered with a young human male named Ryou Asama, who displays little natural talent for drawing out spirits. Their partnership is strained by Nora’s forceful approach and her low opinion of his abilities.
In the Tenri Arc, Nora serves as a primary antagonist. She is determined to capture the runaway spirit residing inside Tenri Ayukawa, who is actually the goddess Diana. Nora’s first appearance in the arc shows her flying over Maijima City at night, searching for the spirit. She confronts Keima Katsuragi and Elsie, and at one point attempts to kill Keima in order to create a sufficient emotional gap in Tenri’s heart that would allow the spirit to emerge—regardless of whether Tenri feels love or hatred toward him. This ruthlessness places her in direct conflict with Keima, who instead uses his methods to resolve the situation peacefully.
Nora reappears later in the series during the Megami-hen arc, continuing her role as a fellow spirit hunter. Her key relationships include her uneasy alliance with Elsie, whom she views as a rival, and her adversarial dynamic with Keima, whom she underestimates. She shows little personal development within the brief Tenri Arc, remaining a confident and uncompromising enforcer of Hell’s directives. Her notable abilities—heart-reading, enhanced physical prowess, flight, and decades of field experience—make her a formidable opponent despite her brash demeanor.
