Description
Mitsunari Samejima is an influential Rhythm Link idol, primarily active as an actor specializing in historical period dramas. His notable work includes the lead role in the Idol Film Festival-nominated film "Muyou no Samurai," where he portrayed a solitary samurai. A long-time veteran within the agency, he maintains a strict demeanor toward younger idols and leverages his experience assertively.

He possesses average height with black, slightly disheveled hair parted to the right. His bangs obscure the right portion of his face, while the left side is lightly tucked behind his ear. He wears rimless glasses with silver temples and clear nose pads, his relaxed eyes contrasting with sharp amethyst irises. For casual wear, he chooses a khaki trench coat featuring brown accents and gold buttons, a grey pinstriped button-down shirt, a scarlet-striped black tie, a black vest, matching slacks, and black oxford dress shoes, complemented by black gloves. At formal events like the Idol Film Festival, he wears a black tuxedo with darker peaked lapels, a white Barrymore-collared dress shirt, a black bowtie, and a white-and-gold luxury watch, without gloves. His stage outfit consists of a pure white notched shirt under a torso garment, a cropped mauve blazer with a red rose on the right breast, and matching mauve slacks.

His connection to Ensemble Square's restructuring saw his transfer to Rhythm Link result in his colleagues' dismissal as the company prioritized younger talents. This fuels his resentment, driving him to orchestrate revenge against Ensemble Square. He blackmails his manager, leveraging the manager's past as an ex-idol to coerce compliance, and recruits Macky, a former idol trainee, to stage a theft. During the New York Idol Film Festival, he antagonizes other idols, mocking Hinata Aoi's reliance on his twin and taunting Rei Sakuma about his age and declining industry relevance.

His plan involves framing Makoto Yuuki by manipulating footage of Macky's staged theft. However, Rei Sakuma and Nagisa Ran collaborate with Ibara Saegusa to re-edit the footage into a fake movie trailer titled "Idol in NY," incorporating scenes of Hinata and Kohaku Ōkawa's parkour chase. This edited footage, coupled with a valid filming permit from the New York Police Department, exposes Mitsunari's sabotage during a live broadcast. Confronted, he admits his motive was retaliation for his fired co-workers, resulting in his arrest.

He is noticeably shorter than Rei Sakuma, though no official height is documented.
