Description
Gunbike is a supporting robot from the anime SD Gundam Force, originally developed as a support unit for Captain Gundam. It is a Bike-type Mobile Defender belonging to the defense organization S.D.G., and its artificial intelligence is that of Captain Gundam’s former instructor.

Gunbike has a gruff and brusque personality, often acting as a tough drill sergeant to the younger members of the Gundam Force. Its first-person pronoun is washi, and it has a habit of popping wheelies and shouting loudly when angered. Common catchphrases include I can tell! and A million years too early!. Upon its first appearance, Gunbike is portrayed as a hawkish figure who prioritizes efficient solutions, even considering the destruction of失控 targets as a necessary measure. However, after witnessing Captain Gundam and the others risk their lives to save runaway trains, it shows a capacity to recognize the value of their courageous, albeit disobedient, actions.

Gunbike primarily serves as a field commander and support unit for the Gundam Force. Its main role is to transport Captain Gundam to mission sites, a formation known as Captain Gundam Connect Mode. Shute, the human companion, rides in the sidecar attached to Gunbike. Despite its tough exterior, it has a mentoring core, feeling that young soldiers like Zero, Bakunetsumaru, and Gun Eagle simply lack sufficient education rather than being inherently bad.

Throughout the story, Gunbike undergoes a significant upgrade. When the Gundam Force travels to Ark, its AI is transferred to a new, more powerful unit called Gunpanzer. This new body is based on the Gundam Ez-8 and significantly enhances its combat capabilities. As Gunpanzer, it can transform into Gunvehicle Mode, a trailer-like form equipped with a re-equip ring that allows Captain Gundam to perform field repairs and change armor. Its fighting style relies on powerful heavy weaponry and bombing runs rather than close-quarters combat.

Notable abilities include the Megaspeed Mode, a high-speed form activated when Captain Gundams heel rollers synchronize with Gunbikes accelerators. For offensive support, it is equipped with a six-barrel SV missile launcher on its rear section.
