Description
Natsumi Onitsuka enters Yuigaoka Girls' High School as a second-year student with ambitions of popularity and profit. Initially approaching the school idol group Liella! to gain followers and monetize content as an "L-tuber" (Live-Tuber), she masks manipulative and selfish intentions behind a friendly facade. She volunteers as the group's producer while secretly planning to profit from undisclosed ad revenue generated by vlogs documenting the members' lives.

Her motivations evolve during a trip to Hokkaido with Liella!, fostering a genuine appreciation for school idol activities. A pivotal moment occurs when she admonishes younger students considering abandoning their dreams, drawing on her own history of failed pursuits in athletics, science, and modeling—experiences that led her to prioritize money over passion. This display of unexpected sincerity reveals underlying vulnerability and prompts Kanon Shibuya to formally invite her as Liella!'s ninth member, marking her transition from opportunist to committed participant.

As a member, she integrates her L-tuber activities into the group, continuing to document behind-the-scenes moments while fully participating, including the pre-performance cheer ritual. Her design features an "Oninattsu pink" image color tied to her "OniNatsu" nickname, a height of 152 cm, and distinctive speech patterns like ending sentences with "~desu no" and using the catchphrase "Oninuts!". Within Liella!'s dynamics, she embodies the "smile" attribute for second-year members and occupies the "mean" role among later recruits within the "Nice, Mean, and In-Between" trope, contrasting Shiki Wakana's kindness and Mei Yoneme's middle ground. She also serves as "The Cynic" in the second generation's Four-Temperament Ensemble, displaying choleric traits.

Her background includes an older sister, Tomari Onitsuka, and a revised birthday of August 7—changed from August 13 due to historical sensitivities related to the Battle of Shanghai, mirroring similar adjustments for other characters. By Liella!'s third year, she competes as part of the 11-member lineup in the Love Live! finals, contributing to songs entrusted by graduating seniors.
