Mint Adnade is the main heroine of the anime Tales of Phantasia the Animation. She is an eighteen-year-old healer who learned her restorative craft from her mother, Meryl Adnade. Mint is kidnapped by knights from the Order of Black Armor and held prisoner in a dungeon beneath their stronghold, where she is discovered by the swordsman Cless Alvein. After escaping together, they learn that both of their parents were among the four individuals who sealed the sorcerer Dhaos in pendants, and they later travel back in time to find a permanent way to defeat him.

Mint's personality is modest and reserved; she is soft-spoken, shy, and gentle, yet she possesses an unbending will and a stout heart. She has a strong innate desire to help others and, despite her quiet demeanor, proves fully capable in battle. Her motivations stem from a sense of duty and compassion, as well as the personal loss of her mother, who was killed by Dhaos's pawn Malice. Throughout the story, Mint develops a close bond with Cless, and there are indications of a romantic connection between them, though it remains understated. Her pure heart is highlighted when the mythical unicorn appears only to a maiden of such virtue, granting her its power.

In combat, Mint serves as the party's primary support. She channels divine energy through prayers to heal wounds, revive fallen allies, cure status ailments such as poison, stone, and paralysis, and enhance the group's attack, defense, and speed. She can also create barriers, disrupt enemy spellcasting, and use minor incapacitating spells to dizzy or slow opponents. Her role is indispensable for the group's survival, particularly against powerful foes. Over the course of the adventure, Mint demonstrates quiet growth in confidence, solidifying her resolve to protect her friends and fulfill her heritage.
